School Uniform Guidelines and Patch Placement
The standard issue school uniform consists of a white Dobok (uniform) that is either a tie-up Gi or a V-Neck pull-over. The basic minimum patches required on the uniform are the U.S.A Flag and the Korean Flag. These patches are worn individually on each shoulder, or as one on the chest. School patches are obtainable through the school and can be placed on the chest or where applicable based on other patches or embroidery.
As you progress in belt, you can obtain other patches. Star patches are awared with each rank and vary in color based on how well you tested. As you gain stars, you are able to receive animal patches. Speacial stars are awarded when competing in tournaments and allow you to add more items to your uniform if desired. It is not mandatory.
Team patches and status patches are also awarded based on rank and progress. Some team patches included Demo Team, Assistant Instructor, Instructor, Master Instructor, S.T.O.R.M, and the Black Belt Club. Instructor uniforms and Demo Team uniforms will be different than the standard issue school uniform.
